Shortening your URL’s for MicroBlogging sites like Twitter.

Twitter and other microblogging enterprise like jaiku, plurk, microblogging, friendfeed, yammer, Google buzz, etc just facilitate the restricted character every post. I often found a web site with long Url like this:

http://www.somedomain.com/en/home.html?xyzo3UqKcULMS5A9Kj^6d@WUDUxhL

The character is more than 250 (figure 1). In the mean time twitter merely provides 140 characters. With this condition, I find it hard to submit the link with my twitter account.

I was wondering to cut down the very long link since when I’d placed a link, the link minimized automatically. I was perplexed with the transformation of link,  then I visited the url and I identify the site that I had place through my twitter account. I was confident there’s a way to lessen the link because I needed to optimize my micro post for maximum impact.

Ping fm also provide shorten URL too. I have tried to post my update through ping fm which was a valuable service as you can post as much as you want and ping.fm would cut the excess words for you.

Finally, I understand how to shorten the URL address with some website. We just copy the Web address and then transform it, using sites like tinyurl.com. But I found bit.ly to be a quick fix. Certainly, this made me completely happy. I’ve publish so many links with shorten URL, but there had to be a totally automated way of achieving the same results.

The draw backs of shorten URL sites is you had to open the website shorten then copy and paste into your microblogging site. I have yet to find any website which can connect to our twitter. Sooner or later I will uncover the plugin and post it here.

Along with short URL it is possible to post many word or you might post another link. Here’s a few website who offer shorten URL for your twitter account. I have adjust long URL and I give illustration of short URL.

Bit.ly : This is the next most favored Shortening URL service. But from past couple of weeks its been at its best, having over 3 millions in a week and above 160 millions in a month.

Is.gd : Shorten long web addresses quickly and easily, with no registration needed.

Nxy.in : Shorten your lengthy URL, publish it to world and build an income by it.

Cli.gs : Short URLs with statistics, social networking monitoring and geotargeting. Cligs is 100% google search friendly.

Snurl.com : Bring the ugly long URLs all over the web and snip them straight into a snipurl that is quite short, snippy, secure, memorable, and simple to share.

Twurl.cc : twURL sets up URLs for graphic searching and gives editing of URL lists. Anybody with an OpenID can create a twurl account.

FF.im : As an alternative of relying on the external URL shortening service like TinyURL, FriendFeed. They have developed their own service called ff.im.Tr.im : tr.im is for quick, easy, full-featured URL shortening with built-in posting to social media such as Twitter, with a free public API.

**Update …you can now use an incredible tool to not only shorten your url for Twitter but it works with most of the top microblogging sites online today including Twitter, Facebook, Google Buzz, FriendFeed and much more.
